Fun Videos from Austin!

I got a couple of really cute quick videos while we were in Austin. This first one is of Kat and Jordan being silly together. They came up with this the first day while we were waiting for Sean to get home from work - and then they did it for the rest of the weekend. Jordan loves to watch it on the computer now.

We spent a lot of time at the pool which was so fun! Drew loved the water and will probably be thrilled when he is able to swim on his own. I am learning more every day that this one likes to GO, and thus far he isn't affraid of anything. He loves to explore ... and he doesn't meet a stranger. Does this remind you of anyone (hint: he looks just like him)???

And of course - Jordan LOVES to swim! This is her first year in floaties and she is doing great. Each time we got in the pool she was more confident. She is such a big girl!!

Fun Times in Austin!!

I did it!!! I made a trip with the kiddos all by myself - and they did great! We headed down to Austin on Tuesday and stopped in Dallas to see DD and Nancy which was very fun! The kids did well, but were very ready to get out of the car. We swam and played - Jordan was in heaven and Drew was Mr. Wiggle Worm as usual - especially after being in the car all day. Then on Wednesday we headed on down to Austin to see Aunt Kat (or "Tat" as Jordan calls her) and Uncle Sean. We had so much fun!!! We swam, played ping pong, watched airplanes, went shopping, went out to eat (Jordan ate like there was no tomorrow - it was amazing), and just played with Tat and Sean. Jordan is at such a fun age where you can really start bonding with her - and I must say that she misses Tat a lot! But we had such a great time!

Thankfully - Mom flew into Austin on Thursday night and rode back to LR with me. Praise the LORD!! I could not have done that one on my own. The kids did awesome. Drew had about a 45 mintue window where he was pretty miserable - but we gave him a bottle and that settled him down. We are headed up to Kansas City next week which we are super excited about - but we are planning some strategic stops on the way to really let the kids get some energy out! Here are a few pictures from our trip. Kat got the best pics though! We miss you Tat and Sean!

Cade's Birthday at JUMP ZONE!!

Cade had his 4th birthday party at Jump Zone and it was so much fun!!! The kids had a ball and played hard. Jordan loves to slide so she was in heaven - and Drew got to slide and bounce a few times as well. I cannot believe that Cade is 4 years old!!

First Haircuts!

I never thought that I would take both my kids for their first haircut at the same time - crazy! We went to a really cute place in town called Pigtails & Crewcuts that is designed just for kids which made it more fun for them. Jordan sat in a yellow car and Drew sat in a red airplane - and they did great. Jordan was happy because of her sucker! We really just got trims for the most part - but they both look older, especially Jordan. She also lost most of her curls which makes me sad, but I like the length. Drew was a wiggle worm as usual which made it a little tricky. We had to touch up the sides later. But all in all - we were happy with their cuts and it made for a fun outting! Here are a few pics from the day!

Kris Allen

As most of you probably know - we are big American Idol fans!! So it was super exciting for us to go and see Kris Allen when he was here Friday! We went to the evening event in Conway which is about 30 minutes from here - and there were said to be around 20,000 people there! It was really cool to see him - he sang 3 songs and there were some presentations. It was really hot and sticky, but worth it. The kids did really well - all things considered. By the end they were ready to go and they all crashed when they got in bed. We had a pretty good spot where we could see him on stage, and were in great view of the screen which was nice. From everything we hear, Kris has an amazing heart for the Lord which is just cool. He was pretty blown away by everything which was neat to see. We are going to the concert which we are pumped about!! Vote for him this week if you get a chance!! Here are a few pics from the evening! GO KRIS!!

Big week for Drew - Here Comes Trouble!!I

All I can say is that our boy is growing up fast!!! Just in the last week, he has learned to sit up from crawling as well as totally pull himself up which is crazy! I walked into his room yesterday morning to get him up after his nap and he was just standing in the crib leaning on the rails - smiling away! Same thing this morning - wow!

His first tooth is also coming in! It hasn't seemed to bother him too much - which I am very thankful for! I tried to get a picture of it - hope you can see it! Jordan didn't get her first tooth until she was 10 months old!

It is getting really hard to change his diaper because he doesn't want to stay still! He wants to GO! And I must say that he is one fast crawler! He is loving his new found freedom and independence. I remember when I was pregnant with Drew and I said he was either sound asleep or bouncing around all over the place ... things haven't changed much. I really love it ... but I need to start preparing myself for the next number of years. This one is going to keep me on my toes ... and smiling at me the whole time!

It has been so rainy and yucky here lately so we got out of the house and had a little family lunch at Wendy's today. I got a cute video of Jordan and Cade singing "Rock A Baby" (Jordan's title) with their Nonie. Cade and Jordan are such good buddies!

I gave in ...

Ok - so I have NOT wanted to do this for awhile because the idea of blogging is a bit intimidating to me. But, I realized that since we have a lot of family out of town - it would be nice to have a place to post pictures, videos and updates - so I have decided to give this a try. I think the reason that blogging is so intimidating to me is that I sometimes read other people's blogs and they are either witty, creative or thought provoking. The idea that other people will be reading what I write is just a lot of pressure! But I have decided to put my fears behind me and press forward.

Moving on ...

Things have been a bit crazy around the Crowley household! We had a couple weeks in a row where someone was always sick - not fun! But I think we are all better now. Bryan's schedule has been a bit crazy as summer gets closer. Luckily, his summer schedule is much better this year - only one longer trip in June, and then one in July. But we are ready for a break from routine and ready to have some fun in the sun!

The kiddos are precious ... of course. Jordan is really starting to communicate with at least half sentences now - which I love. She loves to sing and play. She loves her little brother and is so sweet with him. She makes us giggle constantly. Drew started crawling at about 8 months or so. He has a cute army crawl that is so fun to watch. He has gotten fast too! He is much more curious about things than Jordan was - so we have to keep an eye on him. But it is so fun! Here is a quick little video with him crawling and with Jordie ... being Jordie!
